It may be hard to tell from this photo. But this is Locust Street (current location of the back of the Post Office). You can just barely see Glosser's Bros. on the left hand side of the picture - peeking thru the trees. Paving Locust with bricks - which must have been one of the most back breaking jobs at the time.

Backbreaking, indeed. But, many(well, some) of those brick roads are still in use today.
