I was born in 1951and lived in Johnstown till the flood of 1977 but I cannot place this furniture store. Where exactly was it located in downtown Johnstown?

Possibly Clinton St? I found a book about Johnstown history through Google. I did a search on "geis furniture johnstown"

What a great picture. This is a great mystery. You may be right Mark but I am thinking upper main st. If you enlarge the picture you can see Penneys just a few buildings down from the Carnegie bldg on the right. I believe Penneys was always on main st. Im also thinking the Carnegie bldg is were WCRO is.

Nice Eye Len. This is the Fisher Building that is next to the Carnegie Building on upper part of Main Street directly across from Swank's.
