Johnstown High in the Snow

This is some of what's left of old Johnstown High School - one of the dumping grounds used at the time. For those of you too young to know - Johnstown High was on the spot where the MRI place is now - right across from the War Memorial.

Seriously! They couldn't even give the school a decent burial. That is wrong on so many levels! Such blatant disrespect for one of Johnstown's most historical land marks should not be tollerated. I didn't even go there & this makes me very sad.

I have a managable sized chunk of a few bricks/mortar I got from the school site during demolition, I wrote something like 7-10-1985 on it,it's still in my parents garage.

Where was the old school?

This is sad only for those who liked HS. Someone can now say that the old JHS is in their back yard. Where is this located BTW?

Where are these dumping grounds? I'd like to get a brick for my dad.

Kelley,

They dumped stuff all over town - but this spot is right off Mercury Avenue - along side St. Rochus Cemetery -Lisa
