Abandoned Johnstown

Today we take a look at the old Blaine Boring building (also called The B Shoppe) on Fairfield Avenue. It was eventually taken over by Triangle Collectibles for a time....now it just sits empty.

What a shame to see such a wonderful building going to pot. Having grown up in Morrellville I remember when this place was full of activity. Great candy store on the side. Theres no way to restore this place. If they sell this place it will be a parking lot when its all over.

Typical...just let whatever heritage we have left go to hell. Victorian splendor just sits and rots.

So sad... moved out of state but come back a few times a year and more and more houses look like this.

Johnstown,PA has morphed into the Greater Johnstown Area including 130,000 people and 30 miles across. Downtown Johnstown PA is resuming many of the past jewels. But without a MAJOR BUSINESS the DOWNTOWN FLOOD PLAIN is being abandoned in favor of the eastern hills 2,200 feet above sea level.
