Abandoned Johnstown

The guard shack at Franklin. Took a ride around town - looking for something completely different. The location of a trolley picture. Anyway, while out and about searching...we headed to Franklin and I just couldn't resist taking a couple of shots of this old guard shack.

Instead of rough road - the sign should say rough shack.

This is really cool - a full-sized tank in yard - sort of in the field across from the Franklin Fire Department.

I thought that tank had something to due with Michael Strank. It has not been too many years that it has been on display.

I can just imagine the lead paint in the guard shack.

Right behind the inside door of the shack, would that green thing happen to be an abandoned shopping cart?

I have always loved these old buildings. I wish I had the money or someone else would purchase these buildings, renovate and reuse them. They are details to the history of our communities.

You know Ron - you just might be right...that could be a possible wild shopping cart hiding from my camera.
