Washington Street

Was the photo taken post 1936 flood? Or after heavy rain? Looks like some flooding on Market Street.

^^^ that is actually an alley called Lee Place. Market Street is another half block down out of view. The next building past the Lee Place (alley in pic) going toward Market St. was the Heldler Hotel (not in this shot)and about 6 other buildings then the corner of Washington & Market. The corner Building in the pic was actually owned by Bernard Heldler as well as the Hotel next door just across Lee Place. Looks like a drug store then, it went on to be Karls Beauty Supply and Johnstown Paint and Glass later in the '40s '50s.
