Cambria City Playground

Another one of my favorites that I haven't posted for a while. This is the Cambria City Playground that is still there now. When you think about for these kids - this would have been one of the few green patches they would have been able to play on. So few people back then - had backyards as we know it now. Their backyards had to be gardens - planted from one end to the other - with crops to feed their large and growing families.

Big nostalgia feels. I played here when I was a tyke, but it was run down back then. Assuming this photo waa snapped from the Broad Street side and facing Brallier Place, that brick rowhouse in the background is still standing, or at least it appears on Street View, however old that might be.
