Russell House - Holiday Celebration - 2014

Spent a lovely afternoon with my young nephew at the Russell House on Park Avenue in Moxham for their annual holiday celebration. For all you local folks it will run tomorrow (Sunday) from 12 to 5.
-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
We even had John the doorman welcoming all the folks in.
This is the first thing that caught my eye as we walked in.
This is the rest of the room.
All the trees have themes - this one - 'brown paper packages tied up with strings' was created  by Rose Howarth and her daughter Leslie Lech.
-----------------------------------------------
Guess maybe I should of moved the chair to take this shot...
What kid doesn't love trying to win something. He won a very nice basket at last years celebration.
More stuff to win.
Some baked good for sale - also in the kitchen they had free cookies, punch and hot apple cider.

-------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
This is RJ and he goes everywhere with me...whether it's stuff like this or tramping around a Civil War Battlefield - I want him to know there is more to life than playing computer games.
Heading upstairs....
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
Guess who was at the top of the stairs.....
The train room.
-----------------------------
They also have crafts for the kids - with a lot of different things to choice from to make.
Busy making an ornament for our tree at home.
Trying to show some of the gorgeous woodwork.
Some of the pretty things they had for sale...
The place was packed!
And this wraps up your visit to the Russell House in Moxham.
