Some Feat With Frozen Feet - 1950



Neither snow nor sleet nor frozen feet could keep Judy Kolar, 8. from her appointment with fellow students from Washington School on the quizdown show. Judy, after trudging through the deep snow in sub-freezing weather, arrived at the studio with a pair of frozen feet. She was taken to Lee Hospital for treatment, but she refused to be taken home until after the broadcast. Patrolmen Kurtz and Boldin took Judy to her home, 206 Morgan Place, Prospect, in a cruiser after the broadcast.

New Johnstown Product - 1973



This ladle transfer car is the first of its type to be fabricated at Johnstown Works, U.S. Steel Corp. The 200-ton car will be shipped to the corporation's plant at Fairfield, Alabama, where it will be used to move steel made in the Q-Bop, steelmaking shop now under construction. Albert Primavera (left) and Jake Respet, fitters complete the final fabrication work before shipment.
