No it didn't. That's why it became the "Society" part of town following the flood. High management from both Cambria Iron and Johnson Steel built homes in that area. Alot are still standing today and in pretty good shape. Especially 412 Coleman. I researched and depending who's right or not, the house was built around 1865 or '70. It has to be one of the oldest houses still standing in Moxham.
Was Moxham flooded in 1889? I didn't think the wave of water reached that far.
