I always thought the Hello Shop was there on the corner.
Ron,The Hello Shop was there after S&H Green Stamps moved out. It was not until sometime after the flood.
Pretty neat, taken from under the embassy marquee
I'm almost 50 and have no recall of Green Stamps downtown. I remember them well in the Bel Air Plaza. I would have loved downtown in the mid-60s.
And apparently "Loans" were a pretty popular business on that block.
I'll always remember the Beneficial jingle..."we're Beneficial toot toot we're good for more." Why do I remember that???
Please feel free to add your own thoughts.
