This church lost all of the records in the 1977 flood for those buried in the cemetery in lower yoder. Does anyone have any idea where one may find a copy of these records?
Joe, I asked them the same thing and they told me there is nothing to be done - except to go on a stone to stone search. But even saying that - some folks never had enough money to get a stone - Lisa
What a wonderful old church. I was baptized there made my communion there and my confirmation there. I cant believe its now closed.

ReplyDeleteI was told that many of the stones were lost amd many other washed to other locations within the same cemetery.
