Summer Repeat - How many of you remember this is how Pickin Chicken used to look? This longtime landmark is still there, but some of the names on the signs like Mishler and Sulphur Springs have since been renamed.
I worked there as a curb hop during the summer of 1968, prior to my senior year in high school. The owners at that time were Charles "Chick" and Eleanor Slagle. My pay was 65 cents an hour, plus tips! The food was very good and they served a 32 ounce milkshake called "The Monster."
Ate in there a few times.
ReplyDeleteWhat name was Sulphur Springs changed to?
ReplyDeleteWE lived down the road on Menoher Blvd. Does anyone remember the Flying Saucer restaurant that was down on menoher?
