I know this will not be of interest to everyone. But alot of people have been asking me about how Laurel Ridge State Park was formed - they are the descendants of the families that used to live up the mountain - that I know so well. So instead of emailing everyone privately - thought I'd throw all of this in a post - some of the family names mentioned - Gates, Stackhouse, Bheam, Lewis and Potts.
