Fifty years ago when the first snow fell, motor cars went into winter storage until the frost was out of the ground. Here is a rare exception. The late Joseph Cole of Patton dares the winter elements with his 1902 Cadillac. Notice the ropes wrapped around the rear wheels to help give the car traction. Mr. Cole is at the driver's wheel. Mrs. Emma Sheehan, Patton is seated beside him. In the rear seat, left to right, are Gertrude Burley and Clara Cole, also of Patton. Mr. Cole was the father of Mrs. Percy McGough of 1116 Penrod Street.
