This rare gem was sent in by Andy Bomba. This is the old St. Clair School - an old one room school house (now the site of the Tremont Club) in 1946. That is Mrs. Edwards the teacher - Andy was in the 2nd grade and his sister was in the 1st grade.
This is a great picture. I grew up a few miles from that school. I believe they held classes in there on up through the 50s and early 60s if Im not mistaken.
Is that teacher the same Mrs. Edwards that taught at the Coopersdale School in the late 50's

ReplyDeleteI attended this school in 1950. 1st and 2nd grades in one room. Teacher was Alice Grubb.
