March 26, 1947: Diary of a Johnstown Housewife

From the diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Wednesday - March 26, 1947
I ironed and scrubbed the house and Harry and I was in town.
It snowed and blowed all day the snow is deep where it is not blown away. John & Alice was here a while and Joan was here.
Courtesy of Mrs. Oldham's great-granddaughter - Diane Pellow - we finally get to meet Joan - circa 1947!

  1. I love her picture! What a lovely woman, content with her simple life. How sad she must have been to lose her husband. Her diary is so interesting. Thanks to Lisa and her family for giving us a look into the past.
