Not sure where this house is located. You would think that the Johnstown historical society would have posted a sign of some sorts that stated this is where Clara Barton set up shop. I mean that seems to be of some historical value. I grew up in Johnstown and never knew anything about the significance of this house. Dont know who else knew about this place, but it just seems like Johnstown missed out on so many opportunities over the years to promote its history and tourism.
This house is going to fall down if some one doesn't do something soon. It seems Johnstown likes stupid sculptures and parking lots better than historical sites

ReplyDeleteThis house is at the top of Main Street just as it meets Frankstown road.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be wonderful as a museum to Clara Barton and part of a walking tour of historic downtown Johnstown!
