July 18, 1947: Diary of a Johnstown Housewife

From the diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Friday - July 18, 1947
Betty J and Nancy went to the church picnick and I was out in the country with Billy & Harriett for huckleberries.
We was up at Zellas. The Berries are pretty plenty. Then it rained a good shower while we was picking Berries and we hurried to the car, and waited a while. Then we picked some more. I had 7 qts. and Billy & Harriett had 6 qts. We come home and Earnie come and we sit on the porch swing and talked a while.
