From the diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Saturday - September 13, 1947
Alice... Johnny & baby Pattie...Billy & Harriett and I was out for blackberries. We ate our dinner out at our old camp place. I only got enough Black birries for to make 2 pies and some elderberries to make a pie.
2 young cattle come running a cross the garden out there and we was all excited about them. They come at us the second time.
