So glad Campy was recognized for all of his years in the Johnstown area. He will be journeying back to his homeland, Canada today..wishing him all the best!!!!! He started his hockey career here in 1971 playing for the Jets, married, and had 2 sons Vern Jr. & Stephen...2 daughter-in laws and 5 Grandchildren, stayed in this area for over 42 years, went on to coach Johnstown High, have his remodeling business & another son, Chris! Again good luck on your move back to Canada!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteAlways remember watching Vern and the boys playing hockey back in 1976 and part of 1977 before I moved away. Those were some fun teams the Jets had back then. Good luck the rest of the way Vern and thanks for all you did for hockey in Johnstown.
