Janet, this business was started by my grandfather, Peter Kuruzovich. After he passed in 1940 his sons and daughters took over the business. Sorry but I don't know who has the old recipes as it was a large family. My mom was one of nine. It was really good rye bread though. Remember my cousin telling me that it was good because they let the dough rise in wooden barrels which would get "seasoned" more and more each time they used them.
Does any one know who owned and worked here? Looking for rye bread recipe. Maybe a Virginia, that worked here?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know who owned and operated this establishment. Workers? Rye bread recipe?
