Edwards Hill

A reader sent in this shot and all they know about it is - that it was taken on the upper end of D Street and that the crashed buggy belonged to an undertaker. Judging from the clothes and wagon - I'd say this was around 1900 or so. You have to wonder - if there was a body inside at the time of the crash and if so - did it roll out - down the hill.

  1. Just recently the same thing happened to Harris Funeral home when a restored vintage horse drawn hearse got loose from a towing rig and crashed. It was videoed by a passerby and shown on the local news. I think it happened around June of'20. They had it sent for repair to some Amish woodworkers who are expert at wagon repairs.
