New Owners of Morrellville Store

Frank Pentrack Jr, John Heider and William Atty are now operating Steve's Fod Market, 159 Fairfield Avenue. The business has been purchased from Stephen Stovalsky, who for many years was with the Cupp food market chain here and later entered the field for himself.

Abandoned Johnstown

The guard shack at Franklin. Took a ride around town - looking for something completely different. The location of a trolley picture. Anyway, while out and about searching...we headed to Franklin and I just couldn't resist taking a couple of shots of this old guard shack.

Instead of rough road - the sign should say rough shack.

This is really cool - a full-sized tank in yard - sort of in the field across from the Franklin Fire Department.

Abandoned Johnstown

Today we take a look at the old Blaine Boring building (also called The B Shoppe) on Fairfield Avenue. It was eventually taken over by Triangle Collectibles for a time....now it just sits empty.

Abandoned Johnstown

This is one of those houses that I have watched go downhill for years - it's located on Garfield Street. It's a shame - because this was once quite a beautiful home. It's one of those houses that I have always thought to myself "Gee, I could have lived in a house like this".

Abandoned Johnstown

Today we look at the building at the corner of Broad Street and 6th Avenue.
Walking around the building and shooting these pictures - at times I had to hold my breath - it smells that bad!
