A Bit of a Mystery

I know only a few of the more popular local artists - back in the day. Today's post is a bit of a mystery: a reader says "I came upon your blog while researching a drawing which I recently acquired, images attached. would you have any way of identifying the artist? I am baffled. The sheet measures 24" x 17" and bears the watermarks as shown in images. I would appreciate any information you may be able to offer or any guidance toward an attribution."

All I know about this cabinet photo is that it was taken in Johnstown. Judging by the style of clothes - I'd say around the 1860's or so.

This looks familiar to me - but I can't quite pinpoint where this is.

Where is it?

 

I keep looking at this picture and should know where it is at - but I can't figure it out. The brown house on the left hand side with a diamond shaped window really looks familiar...but just because the trolley says Morrellville - it could be anywhere in the city. Oh and I also zoomed in on the street sign - but it appears to be printed only on one side or it is worn off.

I believe this picture was taken somewhere around the Johnstown Area - but I am not sure. Catherine Berg was married to my grandfathers cousin - City Councilman John Berg.

Not sure of where exactly this was taken - I know it was Johnstown - but as to which school...I am not sure - could possibly be the old school in Oakland.
