Unknown Railroad Bridge Project. It's been awhile since I posted one of these. All I know that it was taken around 1915 or so - somewhere around the Johnstown Area.

Where is this?

 A reader sent in another one of those "where in the world is this" pictures. Kind of looks a bit like Brownstown to me - but I could be wrong.

A reader sent in this shot - all he knows is that it was taken somewhere in Johnstown - even I can't figure out where this is. 

 

Unknown Lumber Yard

Unknown Lumber Yard - but it does say Somerset Lumber on one of the work aprons - so I would say that probably means this is from Somerset County.

The back of this photo was not marked as to the location of this Victory Garden. The lone house in the background looks familiar to me.

Updated information: Reader Matthew Hunt says this is the First United Methodist on Vine Street.

Hooversville - 1920's

All I know about this picture that was that it was taken in Hooversville - sometime in the 1920's. These have to be someone my grandfather knew - because otherwise - I don't know why he would have had this. If you would happen to know who these people are - please let me know.

Reader Robert Cribbs sent in this page from his family photo album - he says "this a picnic area that my father had a company picnic in the early 50's. I believe it is

  between Pick'in Chicken and the Somerset Pike. Not the road that goes to North Fork

  Dam ( I think).  I showed it to a friend who knows DOWN HILL LODGE and he

  said it was not the same."

If any readers out there know where this is - please let me know. UPDATE: Reader Debra says her guess would be the water company picnic grounds. Reader Ron thinks this could possibly be 'The Ridge' located just off of Route 271 by Pick'n Chicken.
