Sons of Italy - 1937

Here are the officers and administrators of Johnstown Lodge 1614, Order of the Sons of Italy in 1937, just six years after the group was founded.

It was just a few years after this picture was taken that the fast-growing lodge purchased its present home on Baumer Street. 

Agrigento Holiday Style - 2011

This is a picture from one of the Cacicia's I am friends with on Facebook from Agrigento her name isTeresa. I don't know about you - but I'm really not on Facebook much. I basically just use it to forward posts from my sites. But there is a cluster of us Cacicia's - from over the Old Country to New York and New England - we all just "friended" each other - because there are so few of us around.
I just love this kind of stuff - seeing how other cultures are not really that different than ours.
