January 6, 1882 - Bucket of Water Proves Fatal, Elevator Accident & A Simple and Beautiful Act of Kindess for One Franklin Borough Family - Freeman

John Shire - 17 yr old - dies at parents house in Morrellville after getting dunked with a bucket of cold water.
Charles Unverzagt - 14 yr old - killed by an elevator at the Wood & Morrell Store. 

Miss Therea Harshberger of Franklin Borough who never had smallpox offers to take care of and nurse the small children of John Hoy of East Conemaugh. Kindness Indeed!

September 24, 1880 - Update on Cambria City Polish Murder Suspect & Man Falls thru Bridge near Morrellville - Cambria Freeman

Stanislaus Lambreskie - bail set at $3,000 in Cambria City Murder. Hearing set for December. 
Sylvester Varner - falls thru bridge at Bheam's crossing near Morrellville along the Fast Line East (PA RR)

September 1880 - Train vs Man in Morrellville & Circus Folk Honor One of their Own at Sandyvale Cemetery - Cambria Freeman

Samual Gardner - sat on train track and got hit of course. 

James Cassam - Circus Clown killed on railroad near Johnstown in 1879. He was buried at Sandyvale and when Cooper, Bailey Circus was in town this month - they stopped by and played dirges in the cemetery.

Intersections of Strayer, Decker and Corrine. Old Koch's on left by the stop sign. New Koch's is now where the second trolley is coming out of Corrine. Both old Koch's and the bar on the left are now gone.
