September 1, 1947: Diary of a Johnstown Housewife

From the diary of Mrs. Elizabeth Oldham of Moxham
Monday - September 1, 1947
We left Thompsons after 9 oclock and got home here at 15 till 5. We enjoyed the trip home.
We stopped a while to see the Buser's.
Then come on home to find a lot of trouble. Margaret had bin fussing with Betty J. and then Harry and I was talking over the phone and had some words. I am sorry for he treated us boath nice.
Then there was fire works and Ida & I went out too look at them and Smokey ran out and was hit by a car. So they had to kill him. I feel bad about it.
