My Mom, Helen Miterko, 20 yrs old, was rescued by Pat Brady, from a second story building in town during this flood. She heard the sounds of people drowning and cries for help during the night. There were even caskets uprooted from the cemeteries floating along the street. Its something she never forgot. We still have a knick knack that she had dug out of the mud when the water went down.
