Janet, this business was started by my grandfather, Peter Kuruzovich. After he passed in 1940 his sons and daughters took over the business. Sorry but I don't know who has the old recipes as it was a large family. My mom was one of nine. It was really good rye bread though. Remember my cousin telling me that it was good because they let the dough rise in wooden barrels which would get "seasoned" more and more each time they used them.
I worked there for 10 months and baked all the breads in 1972. My boss at the time was Ray Karlic. He mixed all the doe’s. But, I’m sure he has passed long ago. He had a so at the time that was in college. Sorry, that’s the best I can do.
I worked at Cambria Home Bakery in 1971. The bakery was owned by Charles and brother Mitch Kuruzovich in 1971 (they were in their’60’s). The bakery was run by their sons Jan Kuruzovich (29 years old at the time) and his older brother. I ran an oven and baked all the breads, Coney Island hot dog and hamburger buns along with pizza shells for 10 months and left the bakery in June 1972. The bakery was shut down and tore down around 1975.

Does any one know who owned and worked here? Looking for rye bread recipe. Maybe a Virginia, that worked here?
Does anyone know who owned and operated this establishment. Workers? Rye bread recipe?

Charles and Mitch Kurozuvich owed the bakery. Their sons Jan and his brother ran the bakery. It was torn down (in Ferndale) around 1975.
