The Clay Banks - Oakhurst - 1977. The most magical place to play growing up - from climbing up the sides to playing on the large cranes. In the 60's we lived in the Oakhurst Homes for a time and we'd all go over and spend the afternoon playing there. My mother would pack up a lunch and we'd make a day of it.

I went back this year just to see them and they were bought by some company. They fenced the whole thing off and also the black rocks as well as the ball field at the top of oakhurst where we used to play. You can’t even get in to see them. It’s sad really. I guess it’s true you can’t go back.
