Cambria Home Bakery

I worked there for almost 4 years right up to the closure. Cambria Home Bakery made some of the best pastries in the area. Pies, cakes, donuts, sweet rolls, etc. And many different types of breads as well. Unfortunately, the bakery building was old and had many hiding places for cockroaches which was the eventual downfall.

Cambria Home Bakery was my first full time job. I went to work for them I 1972. I worked for them for 10 months at their bakery in Ferndale as an oven operator.
Most physical job I ever worked. I loss 15 pounds in two weeks. I weighed 155 when I started a year after graduating from high school.
I worked for Ray Karlie and the Krusaviches owned the bakery.

I (Sam Arnold) worked at the bakery for 10 months in 1972.
Hardest job I ever had. I made $2.24 an hour.
