It's Homecoming Weekend at Johnstown High - September 29, 2011 - Johnstown vs Somerset.
The evening started off - dry - but that was soon to change.

He needs no introduction
Some of these pictures are soft - because by now - a misty and chilly rain had begun.
My niece Isabella was in the Homecoming Court
The beautiful Isabella - who just told me - that I better not post any stupid pictures of her. This is the type of evening that her grandmother Gail (Lenz) Cacicia would have been very proud of her.
And this is Chelsea Meyers - trying her best to stay warm before hand
The Trojan Marching Band taking the field as it begins to rain harder
Next up - The Alma Mater -

The Final: Johnstown 21 - Somerset 7

The Homecoming Court were paired at random with the players.

Isabella will soon be wearing a uniform of a different kind. After graduation - she will become a member of the Air Force - the same as her Grandfather Robert Cacicia when he belonged back in the 1950's.
St. Joseph Church - Update
An update on this unknown Johnstown Church - reader Bill and Mary Alt write: I saw your picture of "Unknown Church Wedding 1950" today and immediately recognized it as my church before it was remodeled in the 1950's. The picture is of the interior of St. Joseph Church on Railroad Street just off of Adams Street in Johnstown. St. Joseph Church's clergy were Order of St. Benedict (OSB) from St Vincent Abbey in Latrobe, PA. St Joe's served the ethnic German RC parishioners in downtown Johnstown and the surrounding area for many, many years.
Attached are some other photos of the exterior of St Joseph RC Church.
