Mission of Mercy - 1977 Flood
Two unknown nurses on their way to an unknown section of town. If you look closely - the reason for the gun - one of the nurses is holding a bag of drugs on her lap. Besides all the looting in town for consumer goods - a certain group of people went after the stronger stuff - something that hasn't been written much about.

Playground Time - 1912

I have decided that this will be a summer of some reruns - along with new postings. Between ballgames at the point and running around on my Honda Ruckus. I won't have as much free time this summer. So I thought I'd mix it up a bit this June. So in honor of school finally finishing up - this is the old Baumer - Bedford Street Playground. I posted this image some time back - being that this is one of my favorites - I think it does deserve a second look. Just for the signage on the buildings alone. This was taken around 1912.
Johnstown High School - Class of 2012

A shoutout to my favorite niece - Isabella Cacicia - 2012 Graduate of Johnstown High. Hard to believe - it seems like only yesterday - watching her get on the bus for her first day of school all those years ago. She gets older as I get younger! She would have made her grandparents - Bob and Gail Cacicia very proud indeed - for two reasons. She is following in the footsteps of her grandfather - she will be leaving for the Air Force shortly. And her grandmother just loved her days at JHS - Class of '58 - she had more stories about her time there - than anyone else. I just know that their spirits were there at graduation the other night - wishing their granddaughter well - on her chosen path in life.
