Mayor Holds Out for Tickets - May 5, 1934
Mayor Eddie McCloskey holding out for circus tickets School Boy Patrol members. Um....I see back in '34 they didn't allow girls - not right - I loved being a patrol member - keeping the belt as white as you could, the big silver badge and getting to use the flag...they should bring that back if you ask me - gives kids a sense of reasonability - if you ask me.

Rosie Gladys 13 - Listed as Missing - May 5, 1934
Rosie left her home at 1308 Tennessee Avenue on her way to St. Columba School - her mother Mrs. Catherine Gladys said that Rosie never made it to school. She might in fact have found a job in Hornerstown.
Note: I am assuming she made it back home safely - being that members of my family knew some o the Gladys' - I would have heard a story or two about a missing girl and in all these years I never have.
