I worked at 516 Main Street in the late 80s. So I'm thinking the Sears building is gone? I knew a man who worked at all four Sears locations. Downtown, University Park, Richland Mall and Galleria.
The Sears store was located where the big empty lot is on Main Street between the Landmark Building and KFC. It ran the whole way to Vine Street and occupied the area where the Vine Street Towers now stands. Sears had a huge vertical SEARS sign on the Main Street main entrance hanging on the front of the building.
