How about we all meet up tonight at Ripple Inn tonight for a little Dining and Dancing - my treat! These photo's were sent in by reader Susan F. This fondly remembered establishment was owned by her grandparents.
Ripples featured a full service restaurant , outside curb service along with the very popular girl carhops taking all the orders on rollerskates. A very nice blast from the past treat.

Where was this in Richland???
This is where Jolly Roger later went in - (Lisa)
Ripple's Inn located @ 1459 Scalp Ave, current site of Dunkin Donuts.
Jolly Roger went in a field, nothing was there before. Ripples had curb service, but the cars were parked alongside the building looking to the rear, not towards the building. I don't recall there being enough room for parking out front.
I worked at Ripple's drive-in as a car hop in the mid 60's. It was my first "real" job (read non-baby sitting).
Ripple's was on Scalp Avenue and Jolly Roger was built in a field. The drive-in part was to the side.
I don't recall anything about the front of the building. We always referred to it as Ripple's Drive-in not Ripple's Inn.
Approximately where giant eagle is now only closer to the road. 7
I grew up in the 50's and 60's eating there. There was nothing so good as their pizza and ham sandwich. I have searched high and low to find out how they made there pizza. Any help would be appreciated.
