Saturday - February 1, 1947
We left the fire go out last night and then 2 men brought out the parts for the furnace.
And we could not have any fire till this afternoon.
They are coming back on Monday to fix the pipe.
Alice & John come and Alice cleaned the windows and put up the curtains and Edde come and done some painting.

Alice and John are my grandparents.
(I would really like to buy this journal. It would mean a great deal to have it back in the family.)
It's going to Diane as soon as I am done with it.So it will be back where it belongs.
