B.L. Johns (near bust of Joseph Johns), Harry Brooks and H.A. Frye, all of Ebensburg, shown seated in the boat in which they attempted to make their way from Main and Bedford Streets to the Bell Telephone Exchange, Snook Building. Johns' grandfather and Joseph Johns were brothers. The damaged boat was found in Central Park the day after the flood.
