Was to be taken from parts of Cambria, Somerset. Westmoreland and Indiana Counties. There was along drawn out fight over this for a while since Johnstown always believed that the county seat should have been here instead Ebensburg. So this was their way of trying to get a new county seat here. It didn't work. But it's still and interesting story.
