A lady in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales tells me that when they lived in Johnstown in the 20's, her mother would buy the Christmas presents in the 'Traffic' store and they would visit the reindeer up on the top floor. On Christmas Day Father Christmas would arrive on his sleigh, bells ringing, to deliver the presents. Betty is 93, and this is one of her happiest memories.

My parents always took us to see the Christmas Window at Penn Traffic in the late 60's and early 70's. I loved that........
