Can any one identify any of the buildings, especially the name of the college, or any of the stores? This is a beautiful picture of a Johnstown I never saw and how vital a city it was.
David - I believe that the first tall building was where the Johnstown Bank & Trust was located in the 1960's. I could be mistaken but I do seem to remember that there was a banking institution in that building. I remember we use to ride the elevator up to the top and then run down the stairs as fast as we could. Of course one couldn't ride up more than twice as peope had jobs as elevator operators back then, and that would have aroused interest to us.
