I remember skating at Roseland and being on the Roller Derby they had in the 50's. I never have seen any pictures posted of that event. If any one has them please sent to me at my e-mail annau@atlanticbb.net, thank you Anna
Hi Anna. I just came by Roseland after my bike ride up to Stackhouse Park. I was wondering about that building as i thought it was a Movie Theater. Mike Javick in Coopersdale..
The Roseland Roller Rink in Morrelvile, Johnstown's West End. The place was famous for not only roller skating, but held dances, concerts and bingo. It even held wedding receptions and other social events. The rink first opened in 1941 and closed sometime in the early 1980's. Don't know the exact date it closed in that time period, but I'm sure the "77 Flood had something to do with it.
