For anyone old enough to remember Bruno's Store at the corner of Fairfield Avenue and Strayer Street - this Charlie Bruno and his family. Wish I had a picture of his old store. After a hot day of playing in the summer sun, we used to go over and get the best tasting popsicles...wrapped with the bottom open so you could see the flavors. we'd dig thru the freezer tossing out all the rootbeer ones which done of us liked.
Charlie and my grandfather John Cacicia were the best of friends.

Bruno was an awesome man & he ran his store well. When he started to ail, he had Charlie and Thelma working there. I loved the chipped ham that they sold on Bunny Bread of course, finished off with a gob. Those were the days!
