One clarification that might help those who never lived in that part of the city -- when the letter speaks of Sheridan School, it is not referring to the building on Dorothy Ave which later came to be known by that name. It is referring to an earlier building that was on Daniel Street. The building which later came to be known as Sheridan School is referred to in the letter as the building on Dorothy Ave. The third school that was said to be built about 1919 is Oakhurst School. All three buildings are, of course, now gone.
