Spent the afternoon in Lilly - the Berkley Hills Renegades were playing a double header against Altoona at Lilly-Washington War Memorial Park. This is going to be a long post - so you might want to pack a lunch.

Shortstop Matt Kastelic at bat. The Renegades currently in first place in the AAABA - chalked up two more wins - blowing out Altoona in both games called in the 5th (mercy rule). I have to say - what a great little ballpark this is - considering how hot it's been lately - it beats Roxbury and the Point hands down - for one thing - it actually has some shade along with a great concession stand - the way they should be - with everything from french fries to candy and ice cream.
Couldn't pass up a walking trip around town. And discovered these historical markers scattered all around. This one honors the Allegheny Portage Railroad.

The tour around town is over - and now it's back to the ballpark for a snack.

If that bridge is where I think it is on PA-53, the culvert underneath it was built for the APRR in the early 1830s.
Great posting. I will have to go to Lilly now and take a walk to view the sites form myself.
