Reader Robert Schneider sent in a bunch of old pages from the 1934 Montogomery Ward catalog. First up - day old chicks - 25 for a $1.90. Even when I was a kid in the 1960's - you could buy these little guys at Easter time. Sometimes they were even dyed different colors - we'd put them in one of my mothers old hat boxes - on Easter morning you could hear them chirping before we even got down the steps - after Easter they would "go to a farm" - or so we were always told....

Chicks for Sale - 1934
Reader Robert Schneider sent in a bunch of old pages from the 1934 Montogomery Ward catalog. First up - day old chicks - 25 for a $1.90.
