Some interior shots of St. Anthony's Church in Woodvale (now St. Clare's). My grandfather John Cacicia - helped with some of the artisan work inside - being one of the first families that joined. All my Sicilian relatives belonged. But having said this - growing up my father and his siblings all went mostly to St. Columba in Cambria City. My Aunt Mimi (Mary Jane Cacicia) Adams always says that it was probably because it was within walking distance. And living in Morrellville. She always tells the same stories about being half-starved with no breakfast - walking to church and smelling the wonderful scents coming out of Harris-Boyer - since you couldn't eat before Communion.
