Once located along Honan Avenue in the Rosedale section of Johnstown. Rosedale - which now doesn't exist any more, once had a very prolific and tight knit black community. For those of you that might not know it - Honan Avenue is the dirt road going the back way to Hinckston Run Dam.
As a teenager going fishing - we'd pack into our Plymouth Station Wagon with the vinyl wood on the side and we'd always use this road to the dam and I grew up hearing stories about all the houses that used to line that road and how people would be baptisted in Hinckston Run - which was right across from an old church.
